Eliot Gordon Hall


Eliot "Gordon" Hall was born on April 2, 1927, in Buffalo, New York, to Marjorie Cecilia Kain, age 21, and Eliot Gordon Hall, age 24. He had one brother Allen and in Rye his family lived at 48 Sanford Street.

Gordon was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1945, and left school early to enlist.


He enlisted on March 7, 1945, when he was 17 years old and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Gordon married Alice Gloria Motyka in New York City, New York, in 1954 when he was 27 years old. They had three children during their marriage.

In the late 1950's the family moved to Yorktown Heights, NY. Gordon worked as a school teacher at the Virginia Road School.



Eliot "Gordon" Hall died on November 20, 1976, in New York at the age of 49, and was buried in Rye, New York.

At the time of his death he was survived by his wife Alice Motyka Hill, his father of Rye: daughters 'Andrea and Diana Hall: and a son John and a brother Allen D Hall of Riverside CT.
